$22.00

We all may need a little help these days. The package contains 2 each of St. Drogo, Patron Saint of Coffee and Baristas; St. Gertrude, Patron Saint of Cats and Gardens; and The Blessed Julian of Norwich with her cat. The backs of the St. Drogo and St. Gertrude cards tell their story. The Blessed Julian (or Juliana) of Norwich (1343 – after 1416), was an English anchorite of the Middle Ages. She wrote the best known surviving book in the English language written by a mystic, Revelations of Divine Love. The book is the first written in English by a woman.

During her lifetime, the city suffered the devastating effects of the Black Death of 1348–50; the Peasants' Revolt, and the suppression of the Lollards. In 1373, aged thirty and so seriously ill she thought she was on her deathbed, Julian received a series of visions of divine love; her most famous line being the mantra “And all shall be well/ and all shall be well/ And all manner of things shall be well.
